Naomi Cohn

Naomi Cohn explores reclaiming relationships—with written language, with art-making, and with the rest of the natural world. Her forthcoming book, The Braille Encyclopedia (2024, Rose Metal Press) chronicles midlife vision loss, falling in love with braille, and relearning to read and write as an adult. Her work’s been recognized most recently by a 2023 McKnight Artist Fellowship in Writing.

[The Braille Encyclopedia is] a story of a life told in moments, in asides, in meditations, in lyric observations … that casts a spell as the pages turn.
